About Us

    Welcome to the South Central Minnesota SHRM website! South Central Minnesota SHRM, established in 2002, is an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management, the largest professional Human Resource organization in the world.

    National SHRM Members

    As a nationally-affiliated SHRM chapter, we are required to maintain a minimum number of National-SHRM members. If you are a National SHRM member please contact Lisa Eyberg, our Membership Director, to get added to our roster. There are also no minimum attendance requirements for national SHRM members. We encourage you to attend the programs that best suit your needs and interests.

    • Most meetings are held at the Owatonna Country Club, 1991 Lemond Road, Owatonna, MN 55060. Phone: 507-451-6120.
    • Cost for lunch and the program is $25 for all attendees unless the meeting is a special event or longer timeframe.

    Board Meetings:

    • Typically the last Tuesday of every month.

    Corporate Sponsors:

    Our meetings are a great opportunity to connect with the HR community in this area.  HR business partners - vendors, suppliers, consultants and local community businesses - are all invited to sponsor any of the monthly programs throughout the year.  For $300 it’s an excellent, low-cost opportunity to build relationships with your target audience and directly market your services to local decision-makers and consumers of HR-related products and services.

    Monthly programs are 1-hr in length and attract an average of 35 attendees. There are 10 programs a year. The $300 offsets the cost of the facility, food and beverage, and speaker fees. The sponsorship package includes:

    - 2 complimentary registration fees ($50 value);
    - Recognition of sponsorship within the chapter emails and social media messages promoting the event;
    - Exhibit table at the event;
    - Promotional materials distributed/displayed at the meeting (must be prepared by the sponsor);
    - Introduction as the Program Sponsor; and
    - 5-10 min presentation of the company/product/service at the beginning of the meeting.

    For more information on becoming a corporate sponsor for one of our chapter meetings, please contact Cassie Kohn. Sponsorship is limited to one meeting per sponsor (January-November) within a calendar year, with the exception of speciality meetings or training sessions and events.
